Unsung Heroes

Goalkeepers, the forgotten members of most football teams only noticeable when they concede and their fellow teammates need someone to shout at. At least that is the common perception. I disagree, there have been over the years keepers who have eclipsed their outfield counterparts, noted for their skill, flamboyancy, (or in Barthez's case his ability to make the most basic of saves look unnecessarily hard) and have produced some of the most memorable occurrences in football. For example Paul Robinson's goal for Spurs against Watford this season or Rene Higuita's spectacular save in a game against England in 1995. So here's a few videos of some of the many moments of brilliance provided by our friends the goalkeepers.
